Special Ministry

Special Ministry is an Evangelism outreach program of the Santa Clara Valley Christian Church. This ministry is for the developmentally disabled Asian Americans. We provide a combination of activities and field trips. The ages of the special needs friends range from 4-80 years old.

The special friends learn how much Jesus loves us, regardless of our abilities. Most volunteers do not have professional health care training; so we are unable to accommodate Special People with disciplinary problems or with extreme physical or medical needs.

We are always looking for more volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, or know of a special needs friend who would like to join our group, please have them contact the Office Administrator at: oa@scvjcc.org or call (408) 377-0190, more information will be sent in the mail.

A typical day may be as follows:

-Opening prayer
-Introductions
-Sing Praise Songs
-Bible Lesson
-Arts and Crafts
-Lunch
-Outing
