（The following is the homework assignment writing about “My Husband” by Fumie. She is in Betty’s class.）
My Husband
My husband, Atsushi, is 43 years old. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weights129 pounds; he looks thin. He has an enviable problem that he cannot gain weight in spite of eating a lot. He is, if anything, optimistic, good-natured, and patient, so he is not discouraged at a few failures.
He likes Ham Radio and has an A class license of Ham Radio in Japan, which is difficult to take. A radio magazine has printed his articles several times. He majored in electrical engineering in the university and has been working as an engineer for 20 years.
His interest combines his hobby and fixing things. During last Christmas holidays he was absorbed in making a controller of his childhood train set which his father sent for our son, Mitsuru, from Japan without the original controller. He made a perfect one by reusing discarded materials.
However, currently his greatest interest is to improve our house.
In contrast to me who gets upset and disappointed when we discover some problems with our house, he believes that we can solve every problem and coolly starts fixing them; his character and skills are really helpful to our life. Now he has good knowledge of painting walls, plumbing, laying floor and so on, in addition to his electrical technique. Our son calls him a master at fixing. We are really proud of him
